Twist Helix are a three piece electronic alt-pop band from Newcastle. Their forthcoming new single 'Little Buildings' is inspired by the closure of fringe music and art spaces in their local area. The video is filmed at the bands rehearsal space The Little Buildings in Ouseburn Valley. Ouseburn is to be the name of their forthcoming album.
The song was inspired by a rehearsal cut short by noise complaints, and its lyrics voice their disgust in the hypocrisy of redeveloping an area through culture only to force the music and arts venues out when an area becomes more economically appealing.
Twist Helix - Little Buildings has already received many great reviews including support from BBC Introducing. The single release date is 22nd July 2017.
